uPVC and HDPE are durable materials that can last up to 100 years in infrastructure and construction applications. By recycling these plastics back into high-quality products, we significantly reduce the need for virgin plastic production and keep valuable resources in use. Our approach ensures:
Recycled materials are turned back into high-quality pipes and fittings.
We maintain the integrity and strength of the materials.
Our recyclate resins are used in New Zealand and Australia.
We are making a significant investment in plastic recycling, with support from the Ministry for the Environment’s Plastics Innovation Fund. This funding enables us to:
Expand our processing capacity for uPVC and HDPE plastic waste.
Develop nationwide collection networks for construction and demolition plastics.
Partner with researchers to improve waste minimisation in the building industry.
Tackling plastic waste requires strong partnerships.
Providing a nationwide collection network to source and sort plastic waste.
Processing recyclate into new, high-quality plastic products.
We are expanding our recycling operations with key facilities in both the North and South Islands:
Auckland (Penrose Facility) – Now fully operational as of late 2024, processing HDPE and uPVC.
Christchurch (Hornby South Facility) - One of the only plastic reprocessing facility in the South Island, handling HDPE, LDPE, and PP.
National Collection Network – We are working to increase the number of collection points and improve transport logistics for businesses nationwide.
