North Island Facility

Our Penrose Recycling Facility is a PRNZ joint venture in Auckland. It transforms uPVC and HDPE plastic waste into high-quality recyclate, supporting a circular economy and reducing reliance on virgin materials.

Our new Penrose Recycling Facility in Auckland is set to revolutionise plastic recycling in the North Island. As part of the PRNZ joint venture between WM New Zealand and Aliaxis, this facility will provide a critical solution for uPVC and HDPE plastic waste, supporting a circular economy and reducing reliance on virgin materials.

Our Processing Capabilities

We recycle a range of construction and industrial plastics, including:

uPVC & mPVC

Pipes, spouting, conduit, window frames, cladding (no flexible PVC)

HDPE Pipes

Water pipes, drainage culverts, conduit (PE100 & PE80)

HDPE Chemical Drums

Triple-rinsed, cut in half

HDPE Curbside Collection

What We Do

Our Penrose Recycling Facility will process both post-industrial and post-consumer plastic waste, turning it into high-quality recyclate resins. Our process ensures plastics are not downcycled but reintegrated into new manufacturing applications, particularly for pipes and conduits.

Initial Sorting & Consolidation

Limited on-site sorting – feedstock should be segregated before arrival.

Shredding & Washing

Cleaning and breaking down plastics into uniform granules.

Granulation & Pelletising

Transforming material into high-quality resins for reuse.

Reintegration

Aliaxis uses the recyclate for new uPVC and HDPE products.

Logistics & Collection

We’re building a nationwide network to make plastic recycling easier.
