    Our process includes:

    • Collection & Sorting – Plastic waste is collected and sorted into material types.

    • Shredding & Granulation – Plastics are broken down into smaller, manageable pieces.

    • Washing – Contaminants are removed to ensure high-quality recyclate.

    • Extrusion & Pelletising – Plastics are transformed into resins suitable for manufacturing.

    • Reintegration – The processed plastic is used in new products like pipes, conduits, and building materials.

  • Where are PRNZ’s recycling facilities located?

    • North Island: A new processing facility in Penrose, Auckland (opened late 2024).

    • South Island: Comspec in Hornby South, Christchurch.
